Warehouse Specialist I Job descriptionJob Summary: The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support the supply chain process.Key Responsibilities:* Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products.* Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.* Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely delivery.* Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.* Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize workflows.* Process shipping and receiving documentation in the warehouse management system.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility.* Identify and report any inventory discrepancies or issues.* Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency.Qualifications & Requirements:* High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehouse operations are a plus.* 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, and professional in SAP/Excel are a plus.* Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse management software.* Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).* Effective communication and teamwork skills.* Willingness to work flexible hours, including Overtime if needed.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.* Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to warehouse operations.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory tracking software.Work Environment:* This position requires standing, walking, lifting, and handling warehouse materials.* Exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policy.
