DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Steel Welder to join our fabrication team at Binford Supply. This role focuses on MIG welding galvanized steel to support both production welding and custom fabrication for fencing products. The ideal candidate can read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings, perform accurate measurements, and consistently produce high-quality welds.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on galvanized steel components used in fencing productsManufacture and fabricate metal parts based on production needs and custom requirementsRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and basic measurementsSet up welding equipment and maintain proper operating conditionsCut, grind, and finish materials to meet quality standardsInspect all work to ensure accuracy, durability, and proper weld strengthCalculate materials and verify measurements before and during fabricationAssist with equipment installation, repairs, and modifications as neededMay operate additional shop machinery, including forklifts (if trained)Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaPerform other duties as assignedPay range: $20-$23 an hr DOERequirementsQualifications & Skills:2–3 years of welding or metal fabrication experience (MIG preferred)Ability to MIG weld galvanized steelAbility to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawingsFamiliarity with standard welding tools, grinders, saws, and fabrication equipmentBasic math skills for measurement and material calculationsAbility to handle physical workloads, including lifting, standing, and repetitive motionsReliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to qualityWe've got you covered.Binford Supply employees give a lot, and we offer benefits that fit their needs.
