Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Starting Pay: $20/hr plus OT available

Location: Royse City, TX

Work Schedule: Mon - Friday | Hours: 7a - 3p EXPECT OVER TIME WHEN OUT IN THE FIELD

There will be some Saturdays all paid at OT (7a-1p)

When they work on Saturday this will be House Hold Waste collections (HHW)

Responsibilities:

  • They will be handling, packaging, loading and disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, lab packs, E-waste and batteries
  • Warehouse experience is ideal but not mandatory
  • Experience doing hands on work
  • 1-2 days a week they will go to Homeless camps to help with clean ups

Manager Notes

  • The facility is 50,000 square feet
  • They received fluids that they consolidate into larger containers from their original containers and then recycled and shipped
  • It is a dirty / physical job dealing with the liquid materials such as paints, solvents, oils, and moving the cans
  • Protective gear will be given to the individuals - glasses, gloves, sleeves, apron, protective mask etc.
  • It is an open air warehouse
  • Attire - short sleeve shirt, Jeans or pants that can get dirty
  • Men will need to be clean shaven in order to wear a mask when needed
  • When they go to HHW or to the camps they will meet at the facility and take company vehicles
  • Must pass a drug and background

Our client is expanding and is looking for Warehouse Technicians to work in their warehouse located in Royse City, Tx. They are looking for individuals that are seeking steady, reliable work hours but don't mind getting their hands dirty!

  • Responsibilities: The Warehouse Technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive
  • Waste and document preparation; regulatory and safety review.
  • Load & unload incoming & outgoing trucks.
  • Waste inventory management using designed software and computerized waste tracking system.
  • Supply inventory of the warehouse.
  • Learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices.
  • Become familiar with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection.
  • Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, DOT regulations, Health and Safety Practices, Part B permit, and EPA regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with end facilities as well as fellow employees to solve complex issues.
  • Perform cleaning and decontamination services at homeless shelters, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff by following proper waste disposal and sanitation protocols.
  • Basic Requirements: No experience necessary, learn on the job
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste field.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination.
  • Become fit tested for a respirator and be comfortable wearing respirator for multiple hours a week.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
  • Must be in good physical condition with no limits on bending, stooping, walking, standing
