Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE: The Customer Experience Specialist is focused on delivering an exceptional shopping experience for all Customers. By engaging warmly with each individual, making eye contact, and smiling, the Specialist creates a welcoming atmosphere while collaborating effectively with team members. This role requires following company best practices, keeping work areas clean and organized, and ensuring merchandise is attractively displayed. The Specialist will assist in various tasks as business needs arise and may take on additional responsibilities to achieve customer service and operational goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prioritizes safety in all actions and fosters safe behaviors.
  • Maintains a visible presence on the sales floor to ensure a safe and welcoming shopping environment, promptly addressing any hazards.
  • Treats all Customers and Team Members with courtesy and respect, demonstrating professionalism in every interaction.
  • Assists Customers by being knowledgeable about merchandise and offering friendly, prompt service, including greeting Customers and thanking them during transactions.
  • Responds immediately to Customer inquiries and resolves concerns while providing excellent service.
  • Embodies and promotes the Company's brand image at all times.
  • Performs cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep both customer and team areas neat, including disinfecting high-touch areas.
  • Adheres to the company's dress code and maintains a professional appearance.
  • Efficiently executes daily assigned tasks to uphold store organization and merchandising standards.
  • Expedites new merchandise to the sales floor, following presentation guidelines and ensuring familiarity with products to assist Customers effectively.
  • Understands Loss Prevention policies and follows standards for protecting merchandise.
  • Handles financial transactions accurately and complies with cash handling procedures.
  • Demonstrates efficiency in task execution to maximize store productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with Customers, Associates, and Store Leadership.
  • Basic math skills relevant to retail transactions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

  • Ability to utilize Store equipment and perform various tasks requiring physical presence, including standing, walking, and moving around the Store for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop, with occasional lifting of more than 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use janitorial tools and equipment as assigned.
  • Other qualifications may be necessary based on specific assignments.
