Job Summary:

As a Bakery Associate, you will package, label, and price bakery items while ensuring stock levels and product quality by monitoring dates, appearance, and temperature control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to quality control and food safety standards by properly stocking and rotating baked goods.
• Assist bakery staff in preparing, packaging, labeling, and displaying products.
• Promote product sales using suggestive selling techniques.
• Stack pallets and sort products into designated locations to meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment by following safety procedures.
• Provide friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders in person and over the phone.

• Ability to read and operate digital equipment and calibrated scales.
• Ability to safely use tools and equipment such as a bread slicer and commercial oven.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal formats.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in identifying and addressing potential hazards.
• Reporting of hazards that cannot be immediately resolved to a supervisor.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Food Handler certification is required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

• Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Frequent use of hands for reaching, touching, or handling.
• Capable of frequent lifting and movement of objects up to 40 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Attendance at work is essential.

• Work is generally performed in a retail store setting.
• Frequent exposure to hot and cold surfaces and wet conditions.
• May encounter equipment with sharp edges and cleaning agents.
• Working environment may have a moderate noise level.
