Role Overview

You will be the friendly voice of a telecommunications client, supporting customers with smartphones, tablets, and computers. Use your technical expertise and passion for customer service to troubleshoot technical issues, answer questions about products and services, and manage service account changes such as enrollment, cancellation, or charge disputes. You will also handle calls that may touch on service enrollment or billing inquiries.

  • Engage with callers, actively listen, analyze, and isolate technical issues
  • Navigate multiple applications to research solutions efficiently
  • Multitask in systems while providing step?by?step instructions with accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide conflict resolution and handle frustrated customer situations with a service?orientation attitude
  • Work independently and maintain discipline in a virtual environment from home
  • Adhere to a structured high?volume inbound call schedule
  • Work at a desk wearing an approved headset for the full shift

Requirements
  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Full?time availability of 3240 hours, with overtime when needed
  • Strict adherence to the assigned schedule
  • Ability to work diverse shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong computer knowledge; type 30 WPM or faster
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Courteous, friendly, and professional
  • Follow procedures and adhere to policies
  • Ability to multitask across applications while on call
  • Experience with financial transaction reviews or service enrollment (preferred)
  • Experience in technical support or troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Previous call center or work?from?home experience (preferred)

Location Requirements

Must live and work in one of the following states: AL, AR, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MO, MS, NE, NH, NC, ND, OH, OK, *SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV. *We have a site in Greenville, South?Carolina. Remote applicants within 50?miles of the Greenville site will not be accepted.

Work at Home Requirements
  • Transcom provides an all?in?one computer, monitor, and headset. A built?in webcam is required for training and meetings.
  • Secure, quiet, distraction?free environment; no conflicting responsibilities during scheduled shifts.
  • Private office space with a door; not a shared space.
  • Monitor must not face a window if on a ground floor.
  • Internet must be DSL, Fiber, or Cable with a hardwired Ethernet connection.
  • No dial?up, wireless, mobile hotspot, or satellite internet.
  • Minimum download speed 20?Mbps; upload speed 3?Mbps; ping < 100?ms.
  • During application, a home desktop or laptop with a hardwired Ethernet connection is required for typing and internet speed assessments.
