You are a detail-oriented and trustworthy accounting professional who values accuracy, integrity, and transparency in financial work. You bring a strong understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to maintaining compliant, well-organized financial records. With a service-minded approach, you take pride in stewarding resources responsibly and supporting the mission of the church through reliable reporting, sound processes, and ethical financial practices.
What you'll do:
- Steward the church's resources with integrity and transparency
- Maintain accurate accounting records, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations
- Maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts
- Process accounts payable/receivable and contributions
- Assist with audits and compliance
- Support ministry teams with financial guidance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required and 1+ years of accounting experience preferred in nonprofit or church settings
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Intacct, Excel, or similar)
- Understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a faith-based environment
