JOB PURPOSE

The Materials Handler will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with changeovers by clearing out the workstation of the product left after the jobis complete.
• Weigh count materials that need returned to the warehouse and make necessary bin transfers.
• Distribute and store products as directed in designated, secure locations.
• Sets up the incoming shift with materials needed.
• Review shipments for quality and quantity; review labels for accuracy and initials.
• Ensure workstations have appropriate materials needed for production orders
• Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
• When issues arise with quantities of skids, notify the supervisor and adjust inventory accordingly.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Fill materials/resins in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent verbal communication and time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good math and written communication skills.
• Good with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience with forklift operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred.
• At least two years of related experience required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• The ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
• Must wear safety gear, such as glasses and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
