Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk supports daily distribution operations at AWR's Nevada Yard by coordinating inbound/outbound activity, maintaining accurate shipping/receiving documentation, and serving as the primary point of contact for on-site drivers. This role partners closely with yard staff and operations leadership to keep materials moving safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures. The position is on-site and best suited for a detail-oriented, high-ownership administrator who thrives in a fast-paced yard environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping and receiving workflows, ensuring timely processing and accurate documentation.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for drivers: coordinate arrivals/departures, verify load details, and ensure required paperwork is complete.
• Communicate and coordinate with co-pack facilities as needed to support distribution activities.
• Track inbound and outbound materials and support inventory-related documentation and reconciliation.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scanning, and basic report support.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with yard staff and operations leadership to support safe, efficient yard flow.
• Support general office and operational needs as assigned by management.
• Follow company procedures and comply with on-site safety standards at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work on-site at the Nevada Yard for the full seasonal schedule (January 1 - May 22) and the posted hours.
• Basic computer proficiency, including accurate data entry and comfort working in administrative systems.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
• Professional communication skills with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Reliability and punctuality; consistent attendance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or distribution administration.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience working in an industrial, warehouse, or yard environment.

Work Environment / Schedule

• On-site role based at the Nevada Yard - 11672 CR 800, Nevada, TX.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Work includes a combination of desk-based administrative tasks and active coordination in a yard environment.
• Physical requirements: ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day; occasional light physical activity related to operational and administrative support.
