Primary Responsibilities

  • Read traveler for correct components of the frame style, deck label, law label, leg color, suspension, shipping label, and other options as required.
  • Inspect the piece for seams straight, sewing correct, leather, label, and mechanism inspection as required by line.
  • Make furniture ready by ensuring the finished product is clean and ready to ship.
  • Repair work as required.
  • Work with Cushion stuffers and Deluxers as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Must be able to safely use hand tools, including but not limited to: Furniture steamer, Heat Gun, Blower.
  • Ability to recognize proper nuts, bolts, and screws per style.
  • Ability to assemble frames and or mechanisms to the frames as required.
  • Ability to inspect work as being upholstered, and this includes sewing mistakes and bad leather or fabric.
  • Must check seams and quality when the piece is complete.
  • Must be able to move or lift 100 lbs. or more.
