Description:

Planned Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing HVAC/R service to clients including planned maintenance service, basic component replacements, and assisting Service Tech's II-V with service repairs. Daily assignments, material acquisition, and weekly scheduling will be in coordination with the Service Dispatcher.

You will...

Perform Planned maintenance

Perform demand service and quoted projects

Diagnose problems and explain these to customers in clear, non-technical terms

Communicate any required repairs to customers using our Field estimator, escalate any major quotes, new maintenance agreements and other client needs to Sales Department

Order and collect parts using KMC PO system, once customer gives approval

Follow all company safety procedures, including completion of a Job Hazard Analysis prior to each job

Complete KMC client work orders on our mobile platform for each assignment at time of completion

Communicate regularly throughout the day with Service Logistics Coordinator

Communicate as appropriate with KMC Technical Lead, Service Leader, or Service Operations Manager regarding any necessary assistance or client issues

Maintain a clean and safe jobsite, including removing old parts and equipment

Maintain KMC assigned equipment, tools, and vehicle to optimize useful life

Maintain proper truck stock inventory on assigned service vehicle

Meet requirements of company vehicle driving policy, and adhere to all company safety requirements

You have...

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Texas Driver's License and clean driving history

No felony convictions

Clean background check and drug screen

Ability to read, write, and understand English

HVAC/R Technician Certification or equivalent industry experience

OSHA 10 certification

First Aid / AED certification

Maintain all required certifications such as TDLR, EPA, etc.

Able to stand on your feet and work 8-12 hours per shift

Able to climb ladders, scaffolds, or stair wells and work at heights for extended periods of time

Able to bend over, stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat

Change belts

Clean Cooling Towers

Rodding Chiller barrels

Lubricate Bearings

Gather electrical information using a meter

Accurately complete electronic forms

Customer relations skills

Replace basic components (capacitors, condenser fan motors, etc.)

Read schematics

Verify proper operation of mechanical systems

Perform startups according to manufacture recommendations

Meets yearly CE recommendation
