General Summary
The Concrete Application Specialist will have responsibility for assigned regions based upon market/geographic requirements, and may be required to cover multiple states or provinces within the United States and Canada. The candidate will lead efforts to highlight, demonstrate, and market MQ Whiteman Concrete Placement and Finishing equipment. In addition, the CAS will develop new business outside traditional rental and distribution channels and visit job sites to generate pull-through sales and cultivate end user/contractor business. The CAS will communicate frequently with District Sales Representatives, Product Managers, and management to ensure a unified approach to serving customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new concrete business by calling on end users and contractors.
- Develop and maintain databases/lists of key contractor contacts and stay knowledgeable of major construction activity in the assigned regions.
- Explain the features, benefits, and value proposition of MQ Whiteman equipment.
- Safely demonstrate product day or night in construction or industrial environments.
- Communicate job site successes and failures, competitive marketing strategies, and pricing to management to improve product design and performance.
- Report regularly through HubSpot CRM and complete Market Information reports to track customer calls.
- Promote the full range of Multiquip products, parts, maintenance, and services and, as necessary, involve other members of the sales team.
- Utilize marketing material and other resources to recommend the best machine for prospective buyers.
- Provide information regarding product delivery schedules, investigate customer problems, and follow up to resolve issues promptly.
- Participate in national, local, and regional trade shows and industry meetings as required.
- Maintain and store consignment equipment in company vehicle, trailer, residence, or other secure facility; report changes when equipment is sold or relocated.
- Use company‑issued vehicle and trailer responsibly, keeping them in roadworthy condition and securing them during over‑the‑road towing.
- Follow expense account guidelines, maintain DOT standards and compliance requirements, and submit expenses in accordance with company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including Docusign.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent GED with a minimum of five years of experience in the concrete industry; experience as a concrete finisher preferred.
- Strong knowledge of concrete flat‑work, placing, and finishing procedures.
- Experienced in using trowels, screeds, and chemical additives applied to concrete.
- Ability to travel overnight and, depending on the region, be away from home up to 20 days per month.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before customer or employee groups.
- Experience using a laptop for electronic communications at remote sites.
Computer Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office for communication and information analysis.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Maintains DOT Standards & Compliance Requirements.
Physical Requirements
The role requires frequent speaking and hearing, standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle objects, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, and continuous lifting of heavy machinery or moving objects exceeding 100 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $75,000 annually plus up to $75,000 bonus.
