JOB SUMMARY
Works under immediate supervision to provide clerical and/or typing support in performance of variety of office duties which may be simple to moderately complex in nature.

This is a temporary assignment with an initial length of approximately 6 months, depending on department need. There is opportunity for the assignment to extend past 6 months depending on individual performance.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required
  • License
    Must have valid Tx Driver's License.
JOB DUTIES
  • Safely and respectfully transport whole-body donors from hospitals, hospices, residences, and other facilities to the designated location.
  • Lift & maneuver deceased individuals weighing up to 150 Lbs using appropriate equipment & techniques.
  • Maintain complete and accurate vehicle operating records; report maintenance & mechanical issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform basic vehicle upkeep, including refueling, checking tire pressure, oil, water, and battery levels.
  • Will be cross-trained to:
    • Respond to incoming death calls and assess donor eligibility.
    • Coordinate logistics of whole-body donations.
    • Communicate with & send consent forms to next of kin.
    • Assist Willed Body Program staff with various operational and clerical duties.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and procedural standards for donor handling and documentation.
    • Maintain confidentiality and uphold donor and family privacy at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Various administrative and clerical assignments filled on an as needed basis.
