The Maintenance Tech I - Facility Maintenance Person shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Perform painting operations on industrial equipment, piping, and structures as directed
Performs minor repairs to building and equipment
Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures
Performs minor plumbing repairs (ex: lavatory repair)
Performs minor electrical repairs (ex: light fixture and ballast replacement)
May assist with preventative maintenance on all equipment as needed
May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed
Must be able to work with computers: email and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)
Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
Must keep work area safe and clean and work in a safe and efficient manner
Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time
Must be able to work inside or outside
Must be able to bend, crawl, climb, squat, and work on times both above the head and at ground level during repair and maintenance operations
The employee will be required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations
Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks
