Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Job Summary

DISHWASHER

The dishwasher position will wash dishes brought to the dish area by other employees as well as multiple cleaning duties in the kitchen. This position also prepares food when needed for the business day which may include cutting, portioning, and packaging. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and meet all physical requirements of the position. They must understand the job duties including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, working in close quarters, working in extreme heat and cold as they transition from the walk-in to the cook line, taking trash, and other cleaning work that will require them to lift up to 30 pounds.

Dishwashers work extensively with mechanized cutting, slicing and mixing equipment and hot cooking appliance such as ovens, dishwasher equipment, ranges and steamers. This position may work in hot, close quarters for extended periods, with occasional entrance to refrigerated storage areas. This position requires employees to lift up to 30 pounds with frequent bending, stooping and twisting. He/She works the entire shift on their feet so the ability to stand 100% during the entire shift is required.

Responsibilities - Dishwasher

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
• Maintain clean and organized dish and kitchen areas
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with prep and cleanup as needed
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and airport compliance standards
• Support kitchen operations during peak periods

Requirements

• Two valid, unexpired government-issued IDs (no tears, creases, or lamination)
• Ability to pass an FBI fingerprint background check for airport clearance
• Reliable transportation to/from DFW Airport
• Availability for AM & PM shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous high-volume serving experience preferred
• Food and TABC certifications required (or must obtain before starting)
• Must live within 15 to 20 miles of DFW Airport
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and perform frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
• Previous employment with HMS Host and / or Star Concession must have a rehirable status.
