JOB DESCRIPTION

An employer in the Greenville, TX market is looking for a Technical Editor to join their team. This person will be responsible for reviewing technical documentation that is required to support operations and/or maintenance of military and commercial aircraft and associated system. The Tech Editor will receive work from the Technical Writing team and review for grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. before getting approved. This person will spend majority of their time reading, reviewing documentation, and style guides and providing feedback to the Technical Writing team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 2+ years of experience in a copy editing position
• Good knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.
• Great communication skills and not afraid to ask questions and take initiative
• Ability to obtain clearance

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Aerospace experience
• Knowledge of how to read engineering diagrams

Compensation:

$35/hr to $40/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
