How You Will Make Contributions That Matter
* Drive cross-functional collaboration by leading coordination efforts among internal stakeholders (Research & Development, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Operations) and external partners (printers, suppliers, customers) to ensure seamless packaging execution.
* Oversee regulatory compliance strategy for packaging, providing expert-level review of nutrition labeling, imagery, and claims in accordance with FDA, USDA, and third-party certification standards (e.g., Non-GMO Project, Organic), as well as internal corporate policies.
* Analyze packaging processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
* Manage multiple high-priority packaging projects from concept to execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
* Monitor and interpret evolving regulatory landscapes, industry trends, and technical innovations to proactively guide packaging strategy and ensure ongoing compliance and competitiveness.
* Coordinate and manage all aspects of production and procurement activities related to packaging changes, ensuring timely implementation, cost efficiency, and alignment with quality standards.
* Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior packaging team members and serve as a key resource and backup for critical packaging functions across the organization.
* Oversee projects around the design, development, and optimization of the packaging for new or existing products. Participates in development of project tracking documents, timetables, and cost estimates.
* Provide review and final approval of packaging proofs according to regulations, plant requirements, print guidelines and brand standards.
* Manage contracts with key packaging vendors and ensure they are adhering to a balanced budget.
* Support the identification of cost savings opportunities.
* Focus on the support for all Saputo plants.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience, skills, and qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Packaging Design, or equivalent experience of 5+ years (Food Industry Packaging/Labeling preferred).
* Highly organized and meticulous with details.
* Practiced knowledge of SAP and Add-Ons preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Strong and proficient in Microsoft Office toolset (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel).
* Enjoys working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
* Up to 10% travel required.

Salary Range: $60,135 - $75,170
Salary offers vary commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
