Overview: The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for nurturing and expanding client relationships across targeted areas, providing efficient and scalable solutions tailored to local and regional clients. This role emphasizes proactive client management, aiming to enhance account retention and revenue growth. Engaging with clients to understand their needs, coordinating with internal teams for outstanding service delivery, and ensuring maximum satisfaction through consistent follow-up are key aspects of this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with current accounts and establish connections with new clients, making informed recommendations on products and addressing client needs.
  • Prospect and generate leads to increase new revenue opportunities.
  • Explore existing parent accounts for possible service expansion.
  • Secure new projects and sites from existing parent accounts.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to convert competitor customers to our offerings.
  • Enhance sales of products and units beyond initial agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure equipment availability, timely deliveries, and proper servicing.
  • Manage account plans for designated areas, identifying growth opportunities and strategies to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Meet or exceed regional revenue targets.
  • Provide customized solutions aligning with client requirements, optimizing cross-selling and upselling efforts.
  • Foster effective communication with regional clients, handling problem resolution and offering proactive support for ongoing projects.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure consistent service delivery and resolution of client issues.
  • Present tailored recommendations and service options to highlight product benefits and value-added services.
  • Utilize company resources to provide solutions tailored to diverse client needs.
  • Achieve established sales quotas.
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact through to proposal, negotiation, and finalization, ensuring smooth transactions and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all solution offerings.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle and post-sales.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments.
  • Effectively allocate resources to maximize outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of sales experience.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in outside sales or a suitable combination of education, training, and work experience.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Willingness to travel over 35% of the time.
  • Access to reliable transportation for client visits.
  • Familiarity with equipment rental agreements and service coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients through various sales process phases, ensuring quality service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Adept at adapting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective in a team environment and building collaborative interdepartmental relationships.
  • Competent in utilizing sales processes and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking and managing sales activities.
  • Skilled at balancing multiple clients, quickly adjusting to changing priorities while maintaining service quality.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is a hybrid outside sales role requiring minimal to moderate physical activity, including extended periods of sitting while driving or at a desk, along with time spent on foot when visiting sites.
  • Part of the work will take place in a standard office environment.
  • The position requires regular travel to client sites, which may include exposure to diverse weather conditions and environments.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Good visual acuity to see details of objects at close range.
  • Clear verbal communication skills for effective listener comprehension.
  • Capability to hear and discern sounds effectively.
  • Ability to distinguish differences in colors, shades, and brightness.

At United Site Services, our salary ranges are designed to reflect fair compensation for the posted position across all US locations. The salary within the stated range is dependent on factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.

Salary Range: $57,300.00 - $86,000.00 / year
