We are currently seeking a motivated Drilling Engineer Intern to join our Dallas office for Summer 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience with reservoir and production engineering projects related to Hunt's operated Bakken assets.

This is a paid summer internship opportunity with housing provided if needed.

Position Summary:

• The intern will work on multiple well-construction projects associated with Hunt's Operated Bakken assets.

Responsibilities:

• Report Preparation: Help in preparing detailed reports on drilling activities, including daily progress, equipment performance, and any encountered issues
• Field Visits: Participate in field visits to drilling sites to gain hands-on experience and understand the practical aspects of drilling operations
• Software Utilization: Learn and utilize industry-specific software for modeling and simulation of drilling operations
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers and team members to ensure smooth and efficient drilling operations
• Budgeting: Participate in the development of short- and long-term objectives and capital and expense budgets ensuring compatibility with and support of overall company goals and objectives
• Engineering: Engineer, design, and technically support operational execution of new well drilling projects. In consultation with completion engineers, design and construct safe and efficient wells for completions, workovers, and stimulations
• Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing data from drilling operations to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement

Skills and Knowledge:

• Previous internship experience preferred
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with both technical staff and field personnel
• Involvement in extracurricular activities is a plus

Required Degree Background:

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in petroleum engineering
• Minimum of 3.0 grade point average required
