Mechanical Systems Design Engineer Description

Our client, a leading OEM of data center cooling systems, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Dallas, TX (near Mesquite). In this role, you will design and enhance mechanical systems including liquid- and air-cooled load banks, coolant distribution units, and thermal management solutions from concept through production. Youll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver manufacturable, cost-effective designs that meet the demands of mission-critical environments. Mechanical Systems Design Engineer Responsibilities

Create models and detailed drawings using CAD software
Design thermal/fluid systems and conduct stress/tolerance analysis
Support prototyping and validation testing during product development
Select materials and components for performance and cost
Collaborate with teams to ensure design meets all requirements
Develop BOMs and documentation for fabrication and assembly
Assist with vendor coordination and component sourcing
Review and enhance existing product designs
Provide support during manufacturing and installation

Mechanical Systems Design Engineer Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering required
2+ years of mechanical equipment/system design experience required
Experience with material selection, stress/tolerance analysis, and BOM creation required
Knowledge of design for manufacturability and design for assembly required
Proficiency with 3D CAD software required
