The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, and Simmons Cancer Center Kidney Cancer Program are recruiting for a Director of Research Administration (DRA) for the Kidney Cancer Program (KCP).Recognized with a Leaders in Clinical Excellence award, a finalist Healthcare Innovation award by D CEO and Dallas Innovates and with a Specialized Program of Research Excellence ( SPORE ) award by the National Cancer Institute, the KCP is a trailblazing program in the country.The successful applicant will join the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center, a premier medical center that ranks highly in healthcare research based on the Nature Index .Responsibilities The DRA will assist with:Strategic development of research programs and new initiativesGrants and manuscript writing/submissionPre- and post-awardsProgress reportsSupervision and support of traineesCoordinating meetings and SPORE activities, including with advisory boardsIntellectual propertyMaterial transfer agreementsResearch complianceThe DRA will join a team including a Program Coordinator/Financial Analyst and Director of Communications.Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biology and be well-organized, excellent writers, attentive to detail, goal-oriented, possess excellent communication, and time management skills.Experience in research administration and grant management is encouraged but not essential.UT Southwestern Medical Center is committed to an educational and working environment that provides equal opportunity to all members of the University community.
