Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) on the Kuiper Enterprise Service Delivery team, you will collaborate with engineering, product management, and business development leaders to engage with enterprise customers, partners, and suppliers from the aeronautical industry. In this role, you will collaborate with the team evaluating commitments during the pre-sales stage, and planning and executing technical onboarding and acceptance testing for Kuiper Satellite Services delivered to customers.
The TPM is the main focal point and interface between Kuiper and our customers and partners. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and leadership skills, strategic vision, determination, and accountability, together with the ability to work and lead cross-functional teams. The Sr TPM will provide overall strategic and technical leadership in managing the programs with particular focus on profitability, quality, and on-time delivery throughout all the life cycle of the aeronautical programs. A key trait of the Sr TPM is governance management, maintaining accurate reporting on the program status, to both Customer and Kuiper organization stakeholders, setting and tracking appropriate performance indicators, and constantly measuring the level of customer satisfaction. In this role, you will coordinate with other company departments, vendors, and partners for the preparation of technical, compliance, and commercial artifacts required for licenses, type approvals, and audits.
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
In this role, you will advocate for the customer and contribute to building product and solution roadmaps. You will build sales enablement material, tech notes, and technical trainings for Kuiper internal teams, partners, and system integrators.
You will be joining a team focused on driving enterprise service delivery mechanisms for all of the customer-facing hardware, software, and systems for Project Kuiper. A successful candidate will be both creative and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love. We are looking for someone customer-obsessed and technology and aeronautical industry savvy – with a proven track record of delivering successful aviation satellite communication products and services. Project Kuiper's success requires leaders who are owners, and who possess the entrepreneurial spirit needed to create new products. Our leaders solve complex problems and get things done.
