The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Program Consultant, Health Care Quality supporting our National Center office in Dallas, TX. This position can be home based.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on August 3, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
The Program Consultant, Health Care Quality will be responsible for the implementation of quality programs aimed at improving care in patients with cardiovascular disease. Responsibilities include:
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
2-5 years of related experience, with 4 years in healthcare or public health, including clinical, quality improvement, program development, and systems improvement.
3 years of project management experience, including managing budgets, timelines, and communication with team members and stakeholders.
Skilled in working with clinical audiences to drive change management and improve patient outcomes.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively engage with volunteers to increase motivation and participation.
Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time, including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification.
Experience in the medical field, with a focus on healthcare quality or clinical settings.
The expected pay range will be $65,000 to $85,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
