5G Optimization Engineer (Nokia - T-Mobile)

Location: Dallas, TX OR Remote anywhere in USA

Contract: $48 to $52 per hour

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Current experience with T-Mobile and Nokia.
• 5+ years of Nokia experience, with at least 3 years in 5G networks.
• Travel is not expected but must be available as needed. All business travel requires prior written approval from Nokia.

Technical Requirements:

• Radio NPO SME with 5+ years of Nokia experience, including at least 3 years in 5G networks.
• Expertise in the following areas:
  • Implementation and troubleshooting of 5G/4G features and parameters.
  • In-depth call flow troubleshooting (EMIL, True Call).
  • Experience with SA, VoNR, carrier aggregation, network slicing, massive MIMO, beamforming, mmWave, and VoLTE.
  • Ability to perform comparative analysis to diagnose issues across different markets.
• Prior experience in collecting and analyzing drive test data and making recommendations beyond antenna tilts (focus on parameters).
• Hands-on experience with post-processing tools such as Actix/Actix-One, TEMS Investigation, TEMS Pocket, etc.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau and/or Power BI for KPI analytics.

Soft Skills & Other Requirements:

• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts with customers.
• Solid troubleshooting skills and problem-solving mindset.
• Must be based in the U.S.
• Individual contributor role with the ability to lead a team of engineers when needed.
• Preferably 8+ years of NPO experience on Nokia equipment.

Education:

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• A Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience is also acceptable.
• Strong teamwork, adherence to processes, and effective communication & documentation skills.
